Highland Creek
One of the largest master-planned communities in North Carolina — a big belt of 1990s-through-2010s single-family homes with strict HOAs, spread along Prosperity Church Road in the 28269 corridor north of University City. The signature job here is the garage-attic-crawlspace and whole-home cleanout, done the HOA-smart way: we load it from the home, so you never stage a thing at the curb. Flat photo-quoted price, same-day, no NC sales tax. ZIP 28269.
A big, easy-to-route master-planned belt
Highland Creek is one of the biggest planned communities in the state — thousands of single-family homes built through the 1990s, 2000s and 2010s, wrapped around golf, pools and greenways off Prosperity Church Road and Highland Creek Parkway in the 28269 corridor north of University City. It is established-family territory: two-car garages, floored attics, and the low crawlspaces that stand in for the basements Charlotte homes don't have. After ten, fifteen, twenty years in the same house, all three fill up — and that is the cleanout we do most here.
Because the streets are flat and the driveways are wide, this is one of the easiest zones in the metro for us to route, and we price around that ease honestly: send a photo, get one flat number covering the labor, the truck, the drive and the dump fees, with no sales-tax line at the end because North Carolina doesn't tax the service.
The HOA-smart way: loaded from the home, never the curb
The access rule that matters in Highland Creek isn't a freight elevator — it's the HOA. Many of the community's associations restrict leaving bulky items at the curb, or cap how long they can sit, and the city's curbside pickup runs on a multi-day appointment window that can leave a couch on the street for the better part of a week. Both are a fast way to a covenants notice. Our answer is simple: we carry everything out from inside the garage, the house and the yard and load it straight onto the truck. Nothing is staged at the curb, nothing sits overnight, and nothing puts you crosswise with the HOA.
Garage, attic, crawlspace & whole-home
We clear the two-car garage back to parking space, empty the attic down the pull-down stair, pull junk out of the low crawlspace, and handle full whole-home cleanouts when a family is downsizing, settling an estate, or getting a house ready to list. Furniture, old appliances, exercise gear, patio sets, boxes of accumulation — all of it goes in one flat-priced trip.

Why the city's curbside pickup fights your HOA
City of Charlotte Solid Waste offers a free curbside bulky pickup, but the mechanics collide with an HOA. You have to book an appointment (311 / 704-336-7600 or servicerequest.charlottenc.gov) and allow up to about five business days; the item goes to the curb by 6:00 AM, three feet clear of carts and mailboxes, under 75 pounds for small heavy pieces; and the city won't take TVs, electronics, construction debris or HVAC. A sofa parked at the curb for five days in a covenant-controlled subdivision is exactly what the HOA's bulk-item rules exist to prevent — and a garage's worth of stuff was never going to fit those limits anyway. We skip the whole problem: we load it from inside, take the electronics the city refuses, and there is nothing left on the street to get you a notice.
What Highland Creek customers say
"Twelve years in the same house off Prosperity Church and the garage hadn't parked a car in years. They emptied the garage and the attic in one morning, loaded it all from inside — nothing touched the curb, so no letter from the HOA. Flat price, done."
"We were downsizing my mother's home to get it listed. They cleared the whole house and crawlspace, donation-routed what was still good, and gave me one number up front with nothing added at the end. Kind and careful."
"Old treadmill, a fridge and a pile of patio furniture. Snapped a photo, got a flat quote in minutes, and they came the next day. Easy to deal with and they know the neighborhood's curb rules cold."
