Debris Removal in NoDa
A five-room mill house doesn’t produce a small amount of debris when you open it up. Old flooring, kitchen cabinets, lath and plaster — we haul it off by the truck-fill: $241 for a quarter, $431 for half, a full cabinet rip-out $293.
Mill Villages to Arts District
NoDa — short for North Davidson — grew up around the Highland Park Mill No. 3, built around 1903, and the Mecklenburg Mill, with villages of five-room, two-bedroom mill houses. Artists Paul Sires and Ruth Ava Lyons began renovating here in 1985, and Steve Holt coined the name “NoDa” in 1995.
The 36th Street Blue Line station now splits the neighborhood across the 28205 and 28206 ZIPs, and the old mill houses sit beside new infill apartments.
